AT PLAY

The children living in the Residential Parenting Program have plenty of safe and engaging space to play. In addition to the children’s large indoor dayroom on J Unit, there is a well-equipped playground in the outdoor yard behind the building. Everyday playtime is easily accommodated there as well as birthday celebrations or other special events.

In addition to J Unit play areas, the children enjoy a well-equipped daycare in the Early Head Start building and a fenced-in playground in front of the daycare. When accompanied by their mothers or caregivers, the children can also use the larger grounds in the Minimum Security Unit for gross motor activity or be taken for a stroller ride.
